One of the most well-known and visited cities, Los Angeles has Hollywood, fashion, music, trade, all kinds of entertainment and has some of the busiest beaches of United States. From so many things to choose from it is a very challenging job for a travel planner to select only few places out of so many. Tourists can plan a long stay at any of the Los Angeles hotels and visit the different sites and locates of the amazing city.

1. J. Paul Getty Museum is divided into two parts - the Getty Centre and the Getty Villa. Getty Center has collections of artefacts of western art from the middle ages till the present time. More than a million visitors visit Getty Centre making it one of the most visited museums in the United States. Getty Villa has collections from Greece, Rome and Etruria.

2. Madame Tussauds Wax Museum: What started in Paris 200 years ago is now almost a revolution in Hollywood. The wax statues displayed in the museum look life-like and tourists crowd the place to get photographed with their favourite celebrity statues.

3. Griffith Observatory is spread around the area of 3015 acres and gives a wonderful view of southern Los Angeles and Hollywood. With all kind of exhibits on science and space, it is one the most visited place in Los Angeles. The Observatory was used in 1960 to train the astronauts for lunar missions. Though few of the exhibitions are separately ticketed, the admission to the Observatory has been free since it was built in 1935.

4. Walt Disney Concert Hall was started with the initial contribution from Lillian Disney as tribute to Walt Disney in 1987, and is now one of the halls of Los Angeles Music centre. Most of the exteriors of the hall have an amazing steel polish giving it a mirror effect. The acoustic of the hall is one of the best in the world.

5. The Hollywood Sign was built as an advertisement for housing complex in 1923, and originally read Hollywoodland. The sign draws crowds from all around the world. Though it is illegal to alter the sign board it has been many a times altered to draw attentions of passers. Hollywood and Holly Weed are among the most famous alterations.

6. The Page Museum is dedicated in research and display of fossils of Rancho La Brea Tar Pits. It is has the largest specimen of fossil extinct flora and fauna in the world. The museum is situated in next to the tar pits of Hancock Park.

7. Autry National Center is a wonderful museum on American history and mostly portrays the relationship between the diverse people of America. The museum also exhibits the initial interaction between the native Indian and people from Europe.
