Importance of Gospel music in Christian Living
Music has a universal language and it can express any emotion and feeling. Music says different things for different people, but the universally acknowledged thing is that music can express anything. Gospel music is a kind of music that is traditionally been sung to express faith, devotion and praise to god. The genre of gospel music is characterized by dominant vocals and strong use of harmony of a religious nature.
In a society where teaching kids about the Christian life can be compared to teaching an old dog new tricks, Christian magicians come to the rescue with their bags of tricks, their lessons of God, and the importance of upholding and preserving your spirituality and faith in God.
Playing the piano at church is no easy task. Many times you are given alot of things to learn in a short amount of time. The Contribution of Parachute Band to Christian Music
Christian music helped to spread the Gospel to all continents of the world. In the present context, it helps fill the hearts of the believers with joy, hope and salvation. Christian music bands exist all over the world, but some have made their mark both as stage performers and producers of impeccable music albums. The name of Parachute band of New Zealand rushes into our mind when we think of Christian Music.
Parachute Band got its name from the annual Parachute Festival of New Zealand. The band came into existence in 1995 when Parachute Music, a Christian organization of New Zealand, brought together five leading musicians of that time to lead the worship services during the festivities. It is diversified from just a stage-performing group and started collecting and composing Christian songs and making albums out of them.
The original members left in 2006 making way for a youthful group of musicians. The band has reached unprecedented growth levels during the post 2006 period. But I do not mean that the first stage was inferior in any way. In fact, the pre-2006 musicians made the it famous across all the continents. The new bunch is building upon what the older members did.
The band has become famous through their mind blowing but meaningful songs. These songs are not only good to be played at churches, but can be listened to in the privacy of your bedroom, car or anywhere you like. After all, faith is a matter that is close to everyone's heart. Listening to Parachute music can instill love for god, faith, charity and peace.
Parachute Band has stuck to gospels and scriptures while composing songs while many other bands have strayed for making easy money. Money is only a secondary thing here. The most important self-professed duty of the band is to spread the message of joy and harmony. This is the reason why the band is being invited all over the world to do stage performances and lead worship services at the most prominent churches of US and Europe.
The group has so far produced eleven albums and I am sure that more are on the anvil. The present set of musicians has brought out three albums, Technicolor, Roadmaps and Revelations and Losing Sleep. It has the expertise and infrastructure to play before huge crowds. Youngsters and old timers equally enjoy the guitar-based songs of the band for both its musical quality as well as the content.
The efforts of Parachute Band to promote the Gospel through its songs have not gone unnoticed. The number of awards and positions won by the band testifies this fact. Some of its songs remained at the top echelons of US music charts for long periods. It has been awarded Peoples Choice award of 2008 and three New Zealand Music Awards. There are many more to mention, but the band is not resting on its laurels.

These religious community people meet every Sunday morning and held prayers in churches. Christian Church is thus called a gathering of the entire Christians world wide. There are many Christian countries in the world where every year there is a mass gathering of all Christians in respective Christian Church to celebrate Christmas. The head of Christian church is called "Pope". The Pope is the holy messenger of Christianity and his ideas and philosophy are being preached in various Christian Church.
Christianity started from by "Jesus Christ". He preached humanity, equality, unity and of course holiness. The early Christian Church was originated way back to the first century A.D. The followers of Christianity were being regarded as the real son of God or being called a messiah. The Christian Church originated from a European country and flourished all through out the world. There are many Christian Churches and Christian missionaries who work for the betterment of the poor and the needy people world wide. There are any poor countries and some are developing countries in the world. People are being taught and educated well in this Christian Churches about their dedication and sacrifice towards Christianity.
There are many conservative Christian Events held like "Justice Sunday". This is an event which focuses in organizing various religious seminars. There are three "Justice Sunday" seminars being held till date. These are on April 24th 2005; August 14th 2005 and January 8th 2006. Another Christian Events is called "The Harvest Event". This Christian Event is being held in various European countries at the summons from local Christian Churches or from local Christian leaders. (Source "Wikipedia").
Apart from these Christian Events there other events like Christian marriages, mass gathering during "Good Friday" and many more. Today Christian Churches and many Christian Events are held everywhere and also prayers are being organized by Christian leaders in churches, which in turn mark a new beginning of Christian's era in this modern world.Christian Events held at various places teaches everyone to love one another no matter how they have been treated. Based on the experiential aspect and in terms consistent with the orientation of the worshippers many associations refer to themselves as the Christian church.
Whatever ideals and principles are taught through Christian living may seem overwhelming initially but it is not hard to follow those. Most importantly it aims at giving visibility and a medium for Christian business in the area to promote them in the local marketplace.
