Planning a Los Angeles Holiday
America is chock full of superb destinations to explore. But there is no doubt Los Angeles ranks as one of the most popular destinations of them all. This is largely thanks to the attractions and venues you've got to choose from when you head there on holiday.
One key attraction that is ideal for family holidays is Universal Studios in Hollywood. No one can fail to be amazed and delighted at the sights and sounds that a day or two in Universal Studios can offer. They sometimes offer two days for the price of one as well, so it can be an ideal way to save money as well as see all that the venue has to offer.
One of the highlights of the studios has to be the huge array of sets you can visit. You can see the set of War of the Worlds and even explore Wisteria Lane from the huge TV hit Desperate Housewives. These are just two of the many sets you can go to, and some of them immerse you in a completely 3D experience. You'll get to meet King Kong as well!
But LA offers far more than just the movies. If you fancy a spot of shopping you can't do much better than to wander along Rodeo Drive. This is a hugely famous street and you might just spot a celebrity or two during your exploration of the area. The Drive covers a total of three blocks so you'll have plenty to look at, even if your wallet can't stretch to the designer prices.
These are two of the best known LA destinations you can visit during your time in the area. Not all LA attractions are as well known, but this doesn't mean you shouldn't try them out. One of the best examples of a great attraction that always pulls people in is Knott's Berry Farm. Despite what the name may suggest this is actually a theme park – and a very good one it is too.
The venue did start out as a farm, and it became famous for – among other things – its fried chicken dinners. In fact these were so popular that a Ghost Town was erected for guests to explore while they waited for their chance to eat in the restaurant. From that point on the theme park started to develop. There are countless different rides and attractions to try out here, including Ghostrider and Big Foot Rapids.
The good news is that wherever you want to go in LA there are lots of options when it comes to accommodation. You can stay in hotels near Disneyland for example, or choose something elsewhere if you wish.
Wherever you stay, you'll be able to enjoy a sensational holiday in LA.
