I started listening to music at a very young age. Many have told me the stories of my parents playing The Monkees album and my reaction being one of hysteria including jumping up and down on the furniture and attempting to sing along with every word. I always assumed that The Monkees wrote their own songs until I recently learned that the songwriting team of Boyce and Hart wrote the majority of them.
