Mastering Creative Visualization

Mastering Creative Visualization

Are you having trouble using creative visualization to get what you really want? You may have heard that if you are clearly able to visualize something with faith that you will have no trouble bringing it about. But what do you do if you have been practicing the techniques of creative visualization for years and are still not getting where you want? If you are frustrated with some of these questions and want to find the answer you are about to discover the secret to mastering creative visualization.

The first thing to learn is that visualization must be accompanied by action. If not, you face the danger of building more faith in the dream than you have in the ability to make it real. This is a simple yet crucial distinction. In your attempts to bring your dreams to life you are going to face challenges along the way. Some of these challenges will alter that dream, most of the time for the better. If you delay taking action and become too attached to the perfect dream you are not going to take action for fear of ruining it.

Second, creative visualization is actually not what you are doing. Visualization involves only the vision and most of the time people only pay attention to that part of it. There are other senses involved, like touch, sound, smell and taste which must become active participants in order to build the desire you need. Find the sounds and smells and sensations which are associated with your desire and do everything which you can to surround yourself with them.

Finally, make sure that what you are visualizing is what you really want. Really take the time to ask yourself where this vision came from and why it is important to you. If the answers have anything to do with the opinions or approval of others than it is time to reset. People will only pursue the dreams of another for so long and will never do so with complete enthusiasm. Making sure that your dreams belong to you will make them easier and more enjoyable to achieve.

Once, you have these in place , be sure that you are working at your goals and visualization a bit every day. If you work a lot but it is inconsistent, your motivation and desire to achieve it is going to be inconsistent as well. Set aside a 'no matter what' time every day and stick with it even after you see the results which you desire.
