Beef With Broccoli . Made by @foodiecrush ❤️ follow her @foodiecrush . SERVES 4 Ingredients 1-1/4 pound flank or sirloin steak, cut very thin against the grain (very lean cut) ½ cup + 2 tablespoons reduced sodium gluten-free Tamari, divided 2-1/2 tablespoons Bob’s Red Mill Gluten-Free Sweet Rice Flour, divided ¾ cup gluten-free chicken broth ¼ cup brown sugar 1 tablespoon rice vinegar 1 teaspoon sesame oil 3 cloves garlic, minced ½ teaspoon ground ginger ½ teaspoon red chili pepper flakes (or more or less) 4 cups broccoli florets 1 red bell pepper, seeded and sliced ¼ cup water 2 tablespoons grapeseed or vegetable oil, divided Cooked rice of choice, for serving Sesame seeds for garnish Green onion, chopped for garnish . Instructions Add steak, 2 tablespoons gluten-free Tamari, and 1 tablespoon Sweet Rice Flour to a large Ziplock bag then seal and squish to evenly coat. Place bag into the refrigerator to marinate for 20 minutes. Meanwhile, add remaining ½ cup gluten-free Tamari, remaining 1-1/2 tablespoons Sweet Rice Flour, chicken broth, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ground ginger, and red chili pepper flakes to a bowl then whisk to combine and set aside. Heat a large wok or non-stick skillet over high heat then add water and broccoli. Stir fry until broccoli is crisp tender, 2-3 minutes, then remove to a plate and set aside. Repeat the process with the red bell pepper. Heat 1 tablespoon grapeseed oil in wok then add ½ the marinated beef in one layer. Let sit undisturbed until seared, 30 seconds, then stir fry until just barely cooked through (some pink still showing is ok.) Remove to plate with broccoli then cook remaining beef in remaining 1 Tablespoon oil, and then add to plate. Add sauce to wok then simmer until slightly thickened, 2-3 minutes. Add cooked broccoli and beef back into wok then stir to combine. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onion. Serve over cooked rice.

From Crisp Recording to Spectacular Live Performance

With Hollywood just around the corner, Los Angeles is a hotbed of budding performers of all kinds honing their skills to get discovered and rise to fame. Night or day there is no lack of action to check out from the ocean to the mountains. Those who have their finger on the pulse of entertainment know that LA live is where all the action is.

With YouTube, iTunes, Amazon downloadable media and other digital entertainment vehicles the opportunities to listen to recorded music are virtually everywhere. The studio produced versions of songs are usually well-balanced with audio enhancements, and the editing process mutes out any flaws in a musical rendition. However, seeing an act performed onstage is unforgettable.

What attracts fans to see live performances is the element of spontaneity. So many things can go wrong, and conversely, so many things can be tremendous successes. For instance, the sound gear might fail, temporarily rendering the fans deaf while the audio team adjusts the levels. In the meantime all eyes are on the band to see how they handle this kind of disruptions: whether with grace and professionalism or with rude outbursts.

Most often, the recorded version of a song is more conservative, leaving the one with voice inflections, dramatic pace changes and spontaneous interjections for the stage performance. If fans are going to download a song, they'll want a tidier rendition because the meaning of the improvisations would be lost without having witnessed it live. With musicians interacting with each other and their fans onstage there is much to take in at a show that cannot be captured on tape.

It is difficult to render a natural digital recording of a stand-up comedian's show. With an audio version of a routine the facial expressions that punctuate a joke get lost. Also not visible are the dramatic hand gestures and body carriage that accentuate the story being told. These nonverbal cues carry a lot of weight in a comic's routine, and add volumes to an in-person performance.

Being able to make the cut in the aggressively competitive entertainment industry in LA means an artist has been bestowed with equal parts luck and skill. There are plenty of notably skilled musicians and actors who never make it on television, simply for having lacked in the luck department. Not fair, just the reality.

One factor that makes a live performance unforgettable is the atmosphere that is created. A gathering of thousands of people, all with the intention to experience a show, is intoxicating. Even if the music is blaring or the singers can't hit all the high notes, there's something about being amongst hundreds of enthusiastic fans that is infectious.

The nightlife in LA is unparalleled throughout most parts of the world because it draws so much talent from faraway. Fans seek out onstage experiences to not only hear the show but to feel it
