Security Guard Companies In Los Angeles

Security Guard Companies In Los Angeles

If you are looking to hire a security guard company in Los Angeles then there are certain things you need to know. Here is a list of the most important factors to consider:

1) Does the guard vendor have an active PPO license? Without one, they are operating illegally. A PPO license is issued by the state of California. There is a special division called the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. This body is in charge of regulating licenses and mandates all the security rules and regulations for California. They have a website and you can check the licensing status, and this is highly suggested.

2) Does the company have first-hand experience in dealing with the kinds of accounts you are dealing with? For example, if you are a high-end building and need a front lobby person to assume responsibility, find out if they have such accounts.

3) How good are their references? You always want to check references. Many clients are reluctant to do this for many reasons, but if you want to ensure that you will be treated well by your guard vendor find out how they treat other clients. Again, make sure the references are industry relevant otherwise it's a meaningless referral.

4) Can you meet the guards? If you are serious about having a good guard team, then you need to make sure that the right guards are or will be working at your account. Los Angeles security guards come in all different shapes and sizes. You need to pick ones that match well your security needs.

5) How do you feel about their contact? Make sure that there is a contract in place before you hire any company. Security Los Angeles is an article written by Excalibur Agency that suggests various things to put in your contacts that will ultimately protect you. It's worth taking a look.

6) Shop around. Make comparisons. You should meet with at least three security guard companies before you choose one. It's worthwhile to create a list of questions before you meet them too. See how willing the guard vendors are to accomodate your requests. The good ones who want your business should do all they can to make you happy.

Evan Blumb works for Excalibur Agency. He writes a blog called Security Guards Los Angeles and is very active in recruiting and training officers.
