Timbaland is an American Grammy Award winning record producer and artist who has helped shape the sound of modern urban music fusing percussive Hip hop beats with R&B music. Timbaland songs and productions have benefited the biggest names in music including Aaliayah, Bobby Valentino, Justin Timberlake, Brandy and Omarion and Missy Elliot. And as a solo artist Timbalands videos and songs has now been catapulted him into stardom in his own right with the incredible success of his two solo albums Shock Value and Shock Value II.
Timbalands most significant solo album as an artist was entitled Shock Value and it was released in April 2007 and featured a host of collaborations with artists such as Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado, Keri Hilson, Missy Elliot, Dr Dre & OneRepublic. It debuted in the Billboard Top 100 at number 5 and became a multi platinum selling album. Timbaland videos and songs released included the catchy duet Give It To Me with Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado, the massive single Apologize featuring US band OneRepublic, The Way I Are featuring Keri Hilson and Release featuring Justin Timberlake. Timbalands music videos for these singles were cool, stylish and funky enabling them to feature heavily on MTV and its associated video channels.
Timbalands next album would be the follow up to Shock Value and was entitled Shock Value II and this was released in November 2009. Timbaland videos and songs released from this album included Carry Out featuring Justin Timberlake, Say Something featuring Hip hop superstar Drake, Morning After Dark featuring Nelly Furtado and If We Ever Meet Again featuring Katy Perry. More stylish Timbaland music videos would accompany these singles helping to make Shock Value II another smash hit album for Timbaland. As a producer Timbaland is also rumoured to be working with Mariah Carey, Jay Z, Leona Lewis and Missy Elliot.
