I just released my first short film I directed on my YouTube called “5 STAGES OF GRIEF”. I haven’t been on social media the last half month because I have been prepping for this video. If you watch it please comment any questions you have about the film and I will try to answer all of you! Thank you guys for sticking with me through this journey these past 2 years on social media. I hope you also enjoy this new chapter of my career as well!

11 days ago we made a mad dash out of town to be with family. The following day, my sweet father-in-law, Bob, was admitted to the hospital, and 3 days ago he passed away. If it seems our posts have not been our usual over the past couple of weeks, it’s because our life hasn’t been it’s usual. It’s been hard. Really freaking hard. And confusing and scary and gut wrenching and heart breaking. But I was also told that upon being admitted to the hospital, he was quick to ask the nurses if they’d seen that little girl on CBS earlier in the week … then proudly announced that was HIS granddaughter :) The very next day, Mayhem and I sat in our car in the hospital parking lot decorating paper Christmas trees for his room. And even though she couldn’t go in to visit with him, I’m thankful for the magic of technology that allowed her to be able to FaceTime with him one last time and show him that she was taking excellent care of his dog. The past couple of weeks have been especially brutal on my husband, his mother and his sister. So if you have a prayer, healing thought or good vibe to spare, I’d ask you to send one their way. We’ve got a long road ahead of us to heal from such an incredible and unexpected loss, but we know that smiling and laughing are big keys to our own healing and he’d want us to do as much of that as possible. Thanks for all the love you send our way – you have no idea how many of your comments and emails over the past two weeks have given me the strength I needed (especially on Mayhem’s birthday!) We’re so grateful for you!!!

Traditional NBA Team Los Angeles Lakers Past

Traditional NBA Team Los Angeles Lakers Past

The Los Angeles Lakers are a National Basketball Association (NBA) team based in Los Angeles , almost be the strongest Western League team. For the second round playoffs are coming, you may want to know more about the Lakers. I will show you the past 5 seasons.

2006-2007, at the time that season began, Lakers record very well, and later suffered from injuries. Odom and Walton are serious injured. So after that, Lakers played so bad that they almost can not enter the playoffs. But they were easily defended by Suns, stopped at the first round.

2007-2008, this is an amazing season for Lakers for they make an intelligent transaction with Brown and Mark Gasol, that is all-Star players - Paul Gasol. Together with progress of the young Center Andrew Bynum, Bryant headed the team performance and stability. The second key player Lamar Odom, they can play for the championship once again. After the Regular season, Kobe was named as the regular season MVP. In the playoffs, the Lakers all the way to impact, 4-0 sweep with the "Golden Spear" in Denver. 4-2 beat the Jazz which was leaded by Deron Williams and Boozer. 4:1 victory over last champion Spurs, and go smooth to the Finals. This time they was defeated by the historical enemy by 2:4, with the "Big Three" in the Celtics, with many experts were optimistic about the situation.

In 2008- 2009 season, all the team members played well and make the performance of 65 wins and 17 lose. In the All-Star contest, "OK" is elected as the MVP. For another time, they defeated Jazz with 4-1, but tried to beat Rockets. In the Western Finals, they beat Nuggets and went ahead for final games. Finally beat Magic with 4-1, get the 15th championship, Kobe also get his first Finals MVP trophy.

2009-2010, Ron Artest joined Lakers, this greatly strengthen the small forward. They get 57 wins in the regular season, be first in Western League, third in the entire league. Faced with the Oklahoma City Thunder led by Durant, they were defeated by Thunder in the 4th game. This is a good lesson, and they finally determine the result by Gasol's lore. In the second round of playoffs, they defeated Jazz by 4-0. In the Western final, they meet the traditional enemy Suns, and finally beat them with Artest's lore. Entered Finals to face the Boston Celtics, this is the 12 times for this two teams meet in the finals in the historical battle. Just because of being defeated by Celtics two years ago, they only win 2 times in all the 11 games. Faced the old enemy, led by Kobe Bryant and finally won 4 to 3 Boston Celtics in the 7 battle games. In this year, they get the 16th championship, Kobe also get his second Finals MVP trophy.

As fans of Kobe Bryant, you may finding the equipments from Lakers Bryant Jersey shop, many Kobe Bryant Lakers Jersey in stock.

Vintage Guitars – Look to the Past

Vintage Guitars - Look to the Past

The guitar is one of the most versatile instruments in the world, and they become more flexible as manufacturing techniques improve and new design ideas are incorporated. So why is it that so many experienced guitar players desire to own a vintage guitar? Surely, a new, modern guitar would be best? This is simply not so, and below we will explore why.

First and foremost, like good wine, a quality guitar can mature with age. Overall, the tone of the guitar will usually mellow, as the wood the instrument is constructed from continues to harden over time.

Scarcity is also a big factor when deciding if a guitar should be considered vintage or not. Certain manufacturers such as Martin, were famed for producing very short production runs of individual designs. As certain designs were found to age very well, the scarcity of the actual units produced made them instantly vintage.

For some models, such as the famed Les Paul Gold Top, it is the actual finish of the guitar, which makes them desirable. This particular model used bronze as part of the dye to turn the top of the guitar golden in color, and with age, the bronze content takes on a greenish tint.

For other models, such as the Fender Stratocaster, the vintage models date back to a certain era of the corporation which manufactured them, back to a time when manufacturing and quality control processes were deemed to be far better, this produces a superior instrument.

Lastly, we have short run, often termed "signature" guitars. These are often endorsed by a well-known musician, and will incorporate design concepts upon the advice of said musician. Fender in particular is noted for the number of signature series guitars they produce, and although not all of these can currently be considered vintage models, there is no doubt that they will eventually be seen as such.

An offshoot of the whole vintage guitar scene is that of vintage amplification. Certain amplifiers, such as the VOX AC30, and the Fender Bluesbreaker, along with many of the older Marshal amplifier heads and speaker cabinets, are noted for their particularly rich sound reproduction capabilities. Almost always, these amplifiers will use older tube-based circuitry, which give a much warmer sound. Although some of the early MOSFET amplifiers are also become desirable.

Many vintage guitars are to be found in the hands of collectors; quite often, these owners will not even be capable of playing the instrument with any great expertise. Instead, they take pleasure from owning a little piece of music history in the form of the instruments which produced all of those classic sounds which we still hear today.

Vintage guitars not only offer the musician a better playing experience, they also allow the owner to take loving care of a piece of history. Many of the vintage instruments we see today, have been entirely restored, at great expense, to make them look, sound and play as close to the

Canadian Pop music – Past, present and future:

Canadian Pop music - Past, present and future:

Popular music has always let the bands and musicians with a wide forum in which to monger their talents. It is an accessible musical genre, less combustible than Rock, safer than Punk and more profitable than Jazz. And it is this last factor that has led to the music charts of recent times being dominated by middle of the road, disposable pop groups in canada such as punk , Canadian indie,  Canadian power pop...  The list goes on. It seems that the faceless suits behind the scenes of the music business, have forgotten about the music and have instead concentrated solely on the business and the money.

The bands are often around a couple of years then disappear into the distance never to be seen again! Pop music for me means catchy tunes with sometimes some great lyrics, its fun and not to be taken seriously unlike rock, which often has meaning and messages in the lyrics. Pop music is harmless fun. The thing is you can be forgiven for thinking it's a load of rubbish sometimes, and that pop music is just a whim, but it is what it says popular music and hits a broad and varied audience, it's open to all ages to enjoy, kind of like middle of the road with a beat!

Pop music continues to thrive, in part due to Pop artists' indiscretions, because these imperfections make the stars human, real, and not merely someone singing a song and giving a performance. Both groups and solo artists do well, though trends over time seem to see solo artists do slightly better, with between a 55 60% share of the market.

Pop music is a variety of so many styles, it tends to move in a cycle. Currently, remakes of old songs are hot, though of course new material is being recorded as well. Rap and Rock is doing well at the moment, and is likely to continue to do so until it's time for the circle to turn again, back to slightly smoother sounds.

I am a singer/songwriter that plays acoustic guitar, and occasionally play with electric guitar players.I have produced my first album to be released shortly called Never Look Back.
